America’s 2024 Holiday Letter(s)

America’s 2024 Holiday Letter(s)

The Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol, is performed every year to celebrate the season. Think Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. Recall the characters like Jacob Marley and Tiny Tim.

But perhaps it is the Christmas Carol character Ebenezer Scrooge who has me channeling a different Dickens classic for this particular blog post. In trying to write a Christmas letter on behalf of both the political left and the political right, the famous words Dickens wrote in A Tale of Two Cities seem necessary:

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way . . .”

Sad to say, in our politically divided USA, we need two separate letters this year.

We are Feeling Devastated, Not Just Blue –

It. Is. Over.

There is no way to sugarcoat this, even in a seasonally appropriate letter. Democracy, the inflationless economic prosperity of Bidenomics, and the ability to live freely in America all ended last month. Shockingly, our garbage-overrun nation elected the ultimate garbage man.

Therefore, we now let you know of our upcoming change of address: In January, we will be moving out of the country (at least for the next four years). We are not going to live under a prevaricating pervert and his weird cabinet.

One good thing did happen this year, however. Before being forced out of office, the current President demonstrated that America still holds family values first and foremost – by pardoning his charming son. That boy (although he is 54) has had so many troubles in his young life. What a neat Christmas present that was for him.

Too bad we can’t say the same thing for women’s health care. Female bodies are now totally controlled by men. Choice is gone, never to come back. It is a woman-hating, baby-worshipping country, and that is a catastrophe, quite frankly.

So, we are not feeling the holiday spirit this year. Sorry. For all we know, you may be among the idiots who elected He Who Shall Not Be Named. Maybe we will be able to wish you Happy Holidays in 2028.

Fellow Democrats are welcome to visit us abroad,

                   Your blue friends

From Our Red Home to Yours –

Wasn’t 2024 a great year – FINALLY! At least this time we have something to celebrate.

Indeed, God sent a new LEADER, and he gave him AN OVERWHELMING MANDATE AND MAJORITIES IN THE HOUSE AND SENATE. America has been SAVED BY GOD’S WILL!!!

The ECONOMY already is headed into the heavens. Did you see the STOCK MARKETS? And now we are appointing NOTHING BUT ABSOLUTE ANGELS to help our magnificent leader. (The Minnesotan for the Department of Defense is so HANDSOME. That young Kennedy at the Department of Health, too. Not to mention Tulsi Gabbard! The SWAMP IS BEING DRAINED ALREADY!!!)

WORLD PEACE is right around corner. By the end of January max, there will be no wars, anywhere. AMERICA FIRST, LIKE IT SAYS IN THE BIBLE. The promised land is NOT UKRAINE.

FIGHT! FIGHT!! FIGHT!!!

As for our family, now our children will stop changing genders, they won’t be taught in school to hate America, and they can walk home without fear of being attacked by ILLEGALS. Our pets are safe, too, at long last.

MERRY CHRISTMAS (nobody can stop us from saying that anymore, thanks to the election).

Love and Cheer (and MAGA),

                   Your red-faced friends

Quentin – this sums it up well. Perhaps in 2025 we can inch closer to understanding (and not rejecting) each other’s perspectives.

As we fly home from Seattle on a Vikings victory Monday, I am grinning from ear to ear! Maybe it’s because of shutting off the TV cable networks causing division, or because seeing the smiles at Christmas time, maybe because the VERY long line at the airport moved relatively quickly with our plane departing on time, or maybe because my favorite team when 1-0 again this week in thrilling fashion! Or maybe it’s seeing that the average American voter was fed up with the political direction we were headed and said “Not this time, enough is enough!” Either way, wishing everyone that reads this a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, & a safe and Happy New Year!!!🇺🇸❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

I have not seen such exceptional writing since high school students with unlimited potential huddled in the shadow of a mound.

Those high schoolers wrote pithy acronyms like “OHS” and phrases like “Beat the Comets!”

I disagree with 90% of what Mr. Whitrock says, but this piece actually made me chuckle.
    Merry Christmas y’all.

Thanks, Jonah. I’m just glad you read what I write. And you get it when I’m trying to be humorous.

There is only one team. There is no red America–there is no blue America–there is only MAGA America. Hahaha. Merry Christmas.
