In the Bible, Jesus lists some signs humanity can expect to see when the world as we know it is about to cease. I won’t get into full-blown eschatology here, but the first sign that jumps out at me today is his mention that “there will be wars and rumors of wars.” (E.g., Mark 13:7.)
Wars, check – we have them (despite how many our president already has “ended”). And we certainly have some rumors of wars.
Perhaps this is it. It could be all over. Time’s up.
The Wars and Warnings
It is still January, and so far this calendar year the United States has:
That’s all I can think of right now. Feel free to comment below about other wars and rumors of wars I have omitted
More Than Just Rumors and Wars
Further biblical signs that the end is near include “pestilence,” “division,” and “lawlessness.” Pestilence? I’m thinking of covid-19. Division? Name one person in America or the world who doesn’t spot division around every corner. Same with lawlessness.
To be clear, I am not predicting anything imminent or definite here, as everyone ever who has purported to “know” when the end would come has made a fool of himself or herself. I’m just saying.
Have a nice year. Or part of a year, if that’s all we get.

We can’t forget the wars that continue since 2024. Include Canada and Panama in that number. Then there are the trade wars that Trump has initiated, paused, threatened and re-threatened. The war on vaccines, legal and undocumented immigrants, WOKE, the poor, the press, the Constitution, public radio and tv, Voice of America, Stars and Stripes, US protesters (unless they invaded the Capitol), the media, the homeless, the arts, research universities, libraries, medical research, public officials who remind the military of their duties under the UCMJ and international law, Jerome Powell and critics of the president ….My list is not exhaustive, but I am exhausted trying to recall it all.
The message seems to be clear: we must be very angry about all that has happened in the past. If someone lives in a country with a low standard of living, he/she should be denied a visa to the US regardless of his/her financial assets.
We should be thankful that the president now has received a Nobel Peace Prize. Perhaps he can pause these wars.

Posted at 14:08h, 17 JanuaryYou also forgot in either post about the use of National Guard troops in numerous American cities or the use of the DOJ for personal use. I’m sure many more incidents have occurred there seem to be a different item every day

Posted at 14:32h, 17 JanuaryFirst, you have too much free time on your hands. For the sake of your own mental health you need to unretire. Second, I have managed to do pretty well in life because I have always thought that tomorrow will be better than today and I have tried to put myself in a position to enjoy tomorrow (unfortunately at this time of life my body does not always agree). Regarding your whole war premise I want to be clear that I am not a fan of war and all the killing that accompanies it. But the fact is that sometimes a small military action can make the lives of tens of millions of people in other countries immeasurably better along with saving thousands of lives. I realize that from the safety of your cozy cottage overlooking the Mississippi River these people apparently don’t matter but I happen to feel a measure of Christian compassion for them. The Apostle Paul wrote a letter to a young pastor he was mentoring by the name of Timothy. He said, “For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to right teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever they want to hear. They will reject the truth and follow strange myths.” In the United Sates today despite decades of proof that socialism does not work people still like hearing the strange myth that the government will give them all the free stuff they could ever want. Turn off the mainstream media, stop wallowing in self-pity, and go out and live life to the fullest. To answer your original question the Bible tells us that no one will ever know when the end time comes. So quit thinking about it.
